Un dels temes pel qual se’m pregunta més sovint és, sens dubte, el dels ninja, aquests misteriosos assassins i espies que suposadament els daimyō del període Sengoku enviaven per infiltrar-se entre les files enemigues i aconseguir informació, o per assaltar el castell d’un senyor rival en meitat de la nit i, camuflats en les ombres, acabar amb ell sense que ningú s’adonés. Doncs bé, ha arribat el moment de parlar del tema.

Els ninja no van existir, són una creació de les novel·les d’aventures i samurais del període Edo.
